Books/Magazines/Brochures/Other Materials

"What is My Vocation" - is a 52 page student classroom workbook most appropriate for junior high students. The three units focus on the priesthood and religious life, with less emphasis on the sacrament of marriage. The publication is very well done and includes many photos, sidebar stories, discussion points, a glossary, etc. A teacher's edition has also been published to accompany the workbook. Both can be ordered for a reasonable fee through www.usml.edu (Mundelein Seminary). The Vocation office has a few preview copies which can be borrowed.

"Is Jesus Calling You to be a Catholic Priest?" - This 32 page booklet was written by the National Conference of Diocesan Vocation Directors (NCDVD) to be used by all vocation directors in their ministry. This is an excellent guide for men upper high school age and older who want to know how to follow the will of God. It is very practical with ten spiritual lessons mixed with true discernment stories so the reader can apply the lesson to reality. We have copies to give away on request.

"Vision" magazine - This is a yearly publicatoin for those discerning religious vocations other than the diocesan priesthood. We have a few copies to give away.

"Religious Ministries" - This is a book which lists all the religious communities of priests, brothers and sisters in the United States. We have a few copies to give away.

"College Seminary-Don't be Afraid to Take a Look" is a brochure created by the Vocation Office to briefly describe formation at a college seminary and answer frequently asked questions. We have bulk amounts which we are happy to give away.

"The Meaning of Vocation" - This 37 page booklet uses the words of the late great Pope John Paul II to help the reader understand and discern their vocation and God's call in their life. We have a small supply we can share with those in high school or older.

"Rosary for Vocations" - This 23 page leaflet is designed for those who want to pray the rosary more specifically for vocations. We have a limited number to give away.
